A post, finally. Its one of those things, I keep meaning to do it and never quite get around to it. So the high points (or low ones depending how you look at it) of the last two weeks.

-- Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] kaelikat I am now supplied with much frivolous fantasy-ish sci-fi-ish reading for the next month or two. And, in the same box, there is a Nietche staring me down. I should read it. If for no other reason to counteract brain rotting nature of the former.

-- As for work. There is lots of it. And will continue to be for the next 7 months. (More likely 8 though.) Its stimulating but, I need to learn to back of the adreneline. I am also still working 1/2 to 1 hour past my already shcedule overtime. Meaning ot paid. Depending on how you look at it, its either a good or bad habit. We'll see if I can cut back a little and avoid burnout.

Hence why I haven't updated in two weeks. 10 hour days tend to lead to not wanting to do Anything at home. (another reason to keep it to 9)

In more interesting news. I bought my ticket for OTP. I'll hit Raleigh 9AM 7/4. The goat will fly into NOVA the week before then drive down on Tuesday or Wednesday. Thinking of bringing some So Cal wine so let me know if you have a request. :)

Well back to the grind. And thank god for thre day weekends.

I too have a lot of books I bought at one point or another to go through as well. Damn my procrastination. And I want to work on a few fantasy stories. Redraft one, complete a second and start a third. And yes, overtime does suck. Why they don't hire more people (especially while the job market is at a low point) and work the current employees harder is not a smart idea in my opinion. Just tires the employees out more and more and causes more disaffectment among the ranks.

[livejournal.com profile] kaelikat is a good book supplier. I have three to return to her at some point. Though really, I should finish reading the third one before giving them back.

Please let your goat know that if he would like to share a ride to OTP, we might be available. And since he doesn't stampeded like my other goats, he can ride *inside* the car.

After driving down Tuesday or Wednesday, will Steve be driving back UP? Or are you both flying out of Raleigh?
