fire, flood and earthquake
Oct. 31st, 2007 06:56I'm about done with natural disasters. The fire sucks. Santa Ana winds suck. Fortunately I got a pass on the quake. The winter holds that combined fear of rain/no rain. If it rains we flood, if it doesn't the drought gets even worse. bleh.
Fortunately I have a reprieve for the morning. It is 52F with a dew point of 51. Misty and cool and I really can't ask for more on a weekday.
Work is starting to congeal. My manager is getting better at seeing what needs done and I'm getting better at figuring out what else is left. Thankfully this means he is giving more direction. Its like a gift from heaven.
I'm going low key for halloween today. Vampire victim. Pale skin and a little blood. I'm always leary about dressing up at work. Professionalism, gotta love it.
Party Saturday. Both looking forward to it and having slight feelings of dread. I really hope its not a bust. Hell I hope people actually come. Why am I so bad at this? Oh yea, I'm socially inept. I still need to decide on food and a costume. Yep I'm a slacker.
For all that though the house looks pretty good. Just need to vacuum (again for the 4th time) and rearrange some furniture. Went a bit crazy with decorations but, its fun. Skull candles, floating eyeballs and a giant brain jello shot.
