OK fashion gurus

I need boots. I have found lots of very cool stompy club worthy boots out there that I am make plans for BUT I want to replace my old everyday won't fall and break my ankle boots. They went to the playa and didn't come home and I can't find just that style. Basically they looked like Draven's boots from the Crow. A couple inches above the ankle, but they don't hug the ankle. They fit great but look too big. My sister found them at Target (of all places) like 8 years ago and I tricked her out of them last year. They were in pretty bad shape but I loved them. Any ideas?

I was looking at Docs and nothing was really doing it for me. I'm looking for something a little clunkier/looser around the ankle. But your right my best option is probably to hit the streets and start trying stuff on. I probably won't find what I'm looking for til its on my feet. I hate shopping.
