When will I learn that 3 shots of espresso are NOT good for me!? I feel like my heart will soon explode out of my chest and my entire nervous system is fried. But the warring demands of my body and brain are starting to subside. I am no longer hungry and nauseous (protein is good), and the urge to nap is no longer being oppressed by a frantic racing mind. (unfotunately that means I really, really want a nap.) Suffice it to say I am not 22 anymore, and I need more than 2 hours sleep. I am not sure if that is good or bad. Regardless, it is a tad disappointing. (forget not that arch students take great pride in their lack of sleep. It was a bragging rights competition at least one morning a week.)
Just 2.5 more hours and I will be free. Free to run errads, do the laundry and collapse. It can't come soon enough.
As for a more general update of the goings on here, things are quietly frantic. Lots to get done but an all out effort of procrastination. It is a frustrating and starting to catch up with me. (hence last night's all nighter.) Work is escalating steadily as the reality of a project 10x larger than antything this firm has taken on before settles over us. It is exciting and daunting, yet at the moment painfully boring. (To all those architects who sing 'I do something different EVERY day, I ask which planet do you live on and why do they not use construction docs?) Things will get more interesting soon as we move out of the 'draw what is there' phase and into the 'let's play with the new stuff' phase.
I am again striving to find some sort of style. Currently I have been gathering a staple group of standard black casual professional stuff. Although the more I explore things the longer my my wishlist of dressy professional stuff expands. Especially shoes. Which is odd for a girl known for her barefoot tendencies. (3 summers at Tech and not a sole to be seen.)
Well I will leave off with boring you all. My apologies to anyone who actually felt compelled to read my pointless meanderings.

Date: 2007-03-05 23:12 (UTC)Always good to get in more style at work. Too bad men don't have the same extensive selection of clothes that women have, but at least there are nice shoes. I think there's a website about corpgoth out there, and it would be worth looking up. Keep up the good work!!
And regardless of your opinion, I do not find your LJ boring in the slightest, and (if it is not too much to ask) would like more posts if you please. We both know that one way to gauge an artist's or writer's ability is in how she makes the normal and mundane beautiful, interesting and exciting, and your life reading from your blog looks pretty interesting to me. Keep up the good work!!

Date: 2007-03-06 02:57 (UTC)I am flattered that you enjoy my musings. My life really isn't that interesting. I'm not really a writer, but I will endeavor to post more. And maybe its time to brush off the paints and the camera and play a little.
