I took my college boyfriend to an event in the summer once; we borrowed something from Joe S. that was basically pants, a tunic, and a belt. In something lightweight.

And I default to tunics and trousers but, always on the look out for more interesting yet easy stuff. I, unfortunately, don't think he is up for a kilt yet.

Wear with typical oversized linen tunic, and bare feet.
Added bonus - no sewing involved except for the shirt.

I absolutely think it would hilariously amusing. But then I am prone to suggesting those types of things just for him.
And according to my wife, it's not the legs. It's the knees... I have no opinion on the matter.
