I don't read enough

which means I don't write enough.
Also means I am generally not exercising the brain enough.

use it or lose it in the brain pan area I guess.

So how do you stimulate your brain?
out of the gutter you pervs! ;)

My day job helps me exercise my mind. I also tend to be very curious. So, I come up with random research projects at home, and explore topics on the internet. For example, one of my latest research projects is connecting the evolution of classical philosophy to modern day American lifestyles, and western thought in general.

And, well, being a history major helps me with finding interesting things to research, and also offers me a decent baseline for positing assertions.

I also wish I had more time to read. My lame excuse is that my day job eats a whole lot of my time. And, hobbies (like cooking and wine drinking) also eat up time. So, I don't exactly have copious amounts of free time.

Well, before I went on my epic 8000 mile roadtrip, it used to be driving. Kind of a meditation where the thinky bits and the creative bits could percolate separately.

Now I'm a little burned out on driving, so I don't know. I keep reading books and feeling that I should write something like it, but then I can't think of anything.

I read about brains, consciousness, etc.
Or go people/thing watching, with or without accompaniment.

I read a lot of non-fiction and classic novels with convoluted language structure.
