So just as a warning, I don't always have much to say, but will try to use cuts for the rambling/boring Stuff. Also if you die of boredom blame Thorunn, because as usual it is ALL her fault. I would NEVER instigate trouble. (pls ignore that mead and the 2 mongols on the floor.)

Hard to believe it is November. I'm still trying to figure out where September went. Hence part of the reason I agreed to do this; also why I am going to write in my paper journal as well everyday. By stopping what will be twice a day and having to generate something tangible I am hoping to be more in the moment. Too often I drift through a week without really considering the passage of time or how I spent it.

"I went to the woods to live purposefully"

It struck me the first time I read Walden and seems to be appropriate now.

"[...] and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived." I have that quote posted on the bulletin board by my desk. Actually, it's a picture of a sign posted at Walden Pond that has that quote written on it, from our visit there a couple of years ago, but nonetheless.

Blaming others for your failures is a sign of mopeygothery. But then again, it's also part of the human condition. Just thought I'd let you know.

Tell me about the time flying. But using up the time you have to record the time....wouldn't that mean you lose time overall?

On the second the idea is that time passes and unnoticed and hence we are not enjoying the present, rather we mourn the past and constant rush towards a future that we will again not appreciate.

Actually thinking of Porthos. Him and spent like 2 hours drinking and generally rejoicing in the evening's largesse.

As for GW, I am torn. If I wait I can take more time off at Coronation. Also hubby will be in VA all of march so he can't come. Also he could be Iraq by August in which case the extra time in FL would be welcome. Will make decision by January.
