1) What do you look for in a good meal?
Authenticity. I am always happy to see a person in the kitchen of a restaurant that is from where ever the food is, speaks the language and possibly learned to cook there. This is particularly mexican and various asian cuisine but, also holds true for the vast array of cultural offerings out there.

2) What do you miss most about the 'Burg? Least?
Miss most: All of my final year. Specifically, there is a neat waterfall fountain on the drillfield end of the duck pond. Its a series of squarish regular stones set into the earth that the water slides down. I've only been there at night and have some of my best memories in that place. A close second, hence deserving mention, is the quad behind the entemology building. (Price hall?) Just beyond that odd stone passage between 2 buildings. it is grass with a wall at one end similar to how the memorial holds up the end of the drillfield. This place has 2 prominent memories. Sleeping between classes and hijacking Steve after class when I was trying to get him to date me.(An adventure all its own)
Least: The extension of Prices Fork Road.(1997 I think?) It really heralded the massive push of suburban development I think. It made me really sad the first time I saw it finished and the residential area it spawned.

3) What attracted you to Architecture?
Originally it was just a lark. An alternative to engineering, encouraged by curious walks through Cowgill. When I took my first in-major course was when I fell in love with it. Louis Kahn and his love of materials for there own sake showed me why it was so much more than floorplans. (the man would ask the bricks what they wanted to be) I learned where architecture, physics and philosophy intersect.

4) Which bothers you more: warm winters or cool summers?
Cool summers. I still feel that SoCal only gets one month of summer because here on the coast August/September is the only time we get serious heat. And warm summer rain doesn't exist.

5) A mysterious figure shows up and says that you need to go with him/her to save this world and all others. You have five minutes to put things together. Assuming you go with, what would you grab for the journey?
A picture I have of steve in Hawaii, my ipod (Armageddon without music? i think not), a towel and that Wonder Woman that I knew would come in handy someday.
