No they did. Babyland was definitively NOT the headliner. They did a rather short set and were the first at a very early show. (started by 8:15.) The comment more reflected that though I didn't not like them, it isn't something I would seek out. And really in the future if given a choice I'll probably skip them.
And while I really liked Imperative Reaction I believe they are quasi local to CA. Although definitely worth checking out.
